About
I grew up in Devon in the beautiful South West of England, born to Welsh and Irish/English parents. After studying Classical and Jazz flute I graduated from University College Chichester with an Honors Degree in Music. I then went on to become a second level music teacher after getting my PGCE in 2002. In 2004 I moved to the West of Ireland after being drawn here by wonerful music and landscape and a desire to re-connect with my father's ancsestral lineage through my grandmother. I became immersed in traditional Irish music and continued to teach and perform and compose.
Since then I have become a Sound healer, a dyslexia specialist tutor, and became a Master of Education in 2022. I most recently have become a Qi Gong instructor. I still enjoy a busy performance schedule with the 2 bands I play with as well as being invloved in community and adult education, teaching drumming and voice workshops for different community groups.
I believe all work through the arts and my specialist dyslexia tution are forms of healing which ultimately help people become more independent in their own learning as well as finding their voices and their community.
